Delhi Darshan 2019 was organized on the 3rd & 4th of August. It's a tour across Delhi, relishing the beauty of the city with indelible bus-rides. We had exciting ice-breakers to know our batchmates, and memories to cherish. We visited nearby monuments and tourist spots, and had a day filled with games and fun activities

The Qutub Minar is a minaret and "victory tower" that forms part of the Qutb complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Mehrauli area of Delhi, India. While cherishing the mesmerizing beauty of Qutub Minar, lots of freshers were modelling and making the most of iconic backgrounds!

Lotus Temple

The Lotus Temple is a Baháʼí House of Worship that was dedicated in December 1986.Notable for its flowerlike shape, it has become a prominent attraction in the city. The highlight of lotus temple is the unique silent prayers it has , which provided a sense of completeness and calm to us.

Gurudwara Bangla Sahib

Gurudwara Bangla Sahib is one of the most prominent Sikh gurdwara, or Sikh house of worship, in Delhi and known for its association with the eighth Sikh Guru, Guru Har Krishan, as well as the holy pool inside its complex, known as the "Sarovar."

Raj Ghat

Raj Ghat is a memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi in Delhi, India. Originally it was the name of a historic ghat of Old Delhi. Close to it, and east of Daryaganj was Raj Ghat Gate of the walled city, opening at RajGhat to the west bank of the Yamuna River.

Lodhi Garden

The last stop of our fun filled day ,is the Lodhi Garden. Spread over 90 acres (360,000 m2), it contains, Mohammed Shah's Tomb, Tomb of Sikandar Lodi, Shisha Gumbad and Bara Gumbad, architectural works of the 15th century by Lodis. We had various fun filled activities,games for our freshers to enjoy, and thus we welcomed themto our ever-growing IITD community!
